Prepare the Boba: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the tapioca pearls and cook according to package directions, typically for 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pearls and transfer them to a small bowl.
Make the Boba Syrup: Add the brown sugar and 1/2 cup of hot water to the cooked tapioca pearls. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. This gives the pearls a sweet flavor and a glossy texture.
Mix the Tea: In a large shaker or pitcher, combine the cooled brewed tea, honeydew puree (or syrup), and milk. Stir or shake well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add simple syrup to taste.
Assemble the Drink: Spoon the prepared boba pearls into two tall glasses. Fill the glasses with ice cubes, then pour the honeydew milk tea mixture over the ice. Serve immediately with a wide straw to enjoy the boba.
Notes
For a more vibrant flavor, you can use honeydew powder instead of fresh puree.
