- 1 1/2 cups(350g) bread flour
- 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup(60ml) warm water
- 1/2 cup(113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk lightly beaten
- 1 tbsp milk for brushing
Prepare the Dough: Whisk together flour, yeast, and salt. Mix wet ingredients and combine with dry. Knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
Laminate the Dough: Roll and fold the dough into thirds. Repeat folding 3 times. Chill for 30 minutes.
Shape the Croissants: Cut chilled dough into 12 triangles. Roll into crescent shapes. Let rise again.
Bake: Brush with milk. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
