Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 1 tomato finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds ground
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the oil and mix well.
  • Add the egg and mix thoroughly again.
  • Shape the mixture into flat patties (3-4 inches wide).
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry each kabab for 3–4 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  • Serve hot with naan or roti and chutney or yogurt.

Notes

  • For extra spice, increase red chili powder.
  • Use coriander powder if seeds are unavailable.
  • Soaking beef in milk for 30 minutes makes kababs softer.
  • For a healthier version, grill instead of fry.
